A 55-year-old man allegedly spread a false rumour of a bomb at the Cochin International Airport in Kerala, causing a ruckus at the airport. The police reported the incident on July 27.According to the information, during the security process of boarding the flight, the man claimed to have a bomb in the suitcase of another passenger. According to Nedumbassery police, Sabu Varghese, a native of Pathanamthitta, was arrested on Thursday.Nedumbassery police said the man appeared to have been irritated by the lengthy security procedures at the airport. The accused had claimed that there was a bomb in the suitcase of another passenger while waiting for a security check.The airport authorities, after conducting an inquiry, found the man’s claim to be false. The airport authorities, after necessary procedures, handed over the accused man to the Kerala Police. His arrest was later recorded. He was later released on bail.
