The Ring Road has been submerged in the Civil Lines area, about 500 meters from Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s house and the Delhi Assembly. The water level of Yamuna was recorded 3 meters above the danger mark (208.46 metres) on Thursday.

As the water level of the Yamuna river in Delhi reached 208.46 metres, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal appealed to the people not to venture on the roads around the Yamuna. He has tweeted, “It is most important to save the lives of the people. There is an appeal to all Delhiites to cooperate with each other in every possible way in this emergency.”

According to the Central Water Commission, the water level of the Yamuna river in Delhi reached 208.08 meters at 11 pm on Wednesday night. At the same time, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena has called a meeting of the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) on Thursday regarding the rising water level. Significantly, Delhi Police has imposed Section 144 of CrPC in flood-prone areas.
