K Chandrashekar Rao was on Thursday admitted to Hyderabad’s Yashoda hospital after he suffered a fall. The former Telangana Chief Minister reportedly fell at his farmhouse.
Former Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was admitted to hospital after he slipped and fell on Thursday. According to news agency ANI, KCR suffered a fall at his farmhouse in Erravalli and was taken to Hyderabad’s Yashoda hospital.
KCR was suspected to suffer a fracture and might be required to undergo a surgery, news agency PTI reported.
Rao had been staying at his farmhouse near Hyderabad and meeting party leaders and common people.KCR’s daughter and former MP Kavitha Kalvakuntla took to X and said the former Chief Minister was under expert care at the hospital
Later, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also took to X and wished KCR a speedy recovery.
“Distressed to know that former Telangana CM Shri KCR Garu has suffered an injury. I pray for his speedy recovery and good health,” the Prime Minister wrote.
In the recently concluded assembly elections in Telangana, the K Chandrashekhar Rao-led BRS hoped for a hat-trick, but was dethroned by the Congress.
The Congress won 64 seats in the 119-member House.
The BRS bagged 39 seats.
On Thursday, Congress legislature party leader A Revanth Reddy took oath as the state’s Chief Minister.
The ceremony was attended by top Congress leaders, including Sonia Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge.
