Sibal said governors intervene in opposition-ruled states and promote the Hindutva agenda. Sibal was responding to a demand by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin for the removal of Governor R N Ravi. Stalin has written a letter to President Draupadi Murmu seeking his removal in which he has levelled serious allegations against the governor.Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal has supported Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s demand for the removal of Governor RN Ravi. Sibal said that in opposition-ruled states, governors intervene and try to destabilise the government.In a letter to President Draupadi Murmu, Stalin alleged that Governor Ravi incited communal hatred. They are a threat to Tamil Nadu’s peace. The CM stressed in his letter that the Governor is not fit to continue in office due to his behavior and work. It would be appropriate to remove him from the postStalin also accused the Governor of unnecessarily delaying the grant of assent to bills passed by the Tamil Nadu Assembly. He said the governor was also not allowing sanction of cases against former AIADMK ministers facing corruption charges.Speaking on the whole issue, Kapil Sibal said that Ambedkar had said about governors that they would have no power to interfere in the administration.
