Ashneer Grover, cofounder and former managing director (MD) of fintech company BharatPe, won himself many followers after appearing on the first season of Shark Tank India as a judge. His outspoken nature and witty dialogues like ‘yeh sab doglapan hai (all these are hypocrisy)’ made him a household name and inspired many memes.
While BharatPe last year filed a criminal suit against its former MD and his family, seeking up to Rs 88.67 crore in damages for alleged cheating and embezzlement of funds, Grover had a simple request for the media on Twitter.
Posting a photo of him and his wife Madhuri Jain Grover, he requested the media to use this photo when they write about him as he has lost 15 kg. “Press: You may write anything you get paid to write about me. I won’t complain. I have one request – please use this picture – nothing is more offensive to me than seeing my older fatter self after losing 15 Kgs ! I don’t even read the stories like most – visual appeal is imp !!” he tweeted.

“Spot on!” commented a user. “Okay, noted,” said another. “This is how you flex your 15kg weight loss, like a boss,” wrote a third.
Grover has continued to dominate social media platforms with more catchphrases. In February, desi Twitterati imagined him giving advice in different roles. Trying to imagine how Grover would react in any given situation or what would he say if he is in a different profession, like a teacher or a coach, Twitter had been inundated with jokes.
