At the same time, it has been announced to keep the schools of Municipal Corporation of Delhi closed on Tuesday.Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal held a high-level meeting to discuss the waterlogging situation and the rising level of the Yamuna. He said that there is no threat of flood as of now. He said his government is prepared to deal with the situation and 41,000 people have been identified to be shifted to relief camps if needed.He said that the water level of the river has already crossed the danger mark before the expected time. It was estimated that by Tuesday afternoon it would cross the danger mark. Revenue Minister Atishi said that people are being shifted to safer places from the Khadar (flood plain) area and the concerned district magistrates have been instructed to be on alert.All schools run, aided or recognized by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) will remain closed on July 11 in view of the forecast of heavy rains and inclement weather in the city. The education department of the MCD issued the order, though it mentioned that the schools would remain closed for students only. As per the order, department heads and teachers will come to school, and all offices will also function.
