Mamata Banerjee to attend opposition parties’ meeting in Bengaluru

The meeting will be held on July 18.Mamata Banerjee had earlier refused to attend the joint opposition meeting. In such a situation, his stance will help in boosting the morale of the opposition.As many as 24 parties have been invited to the joint opposition meeting to be held in Bengaluru. This meeting is considered to be very important to challenge the BJP in the next Lok Sabha elections. The opposition has adopted a strategy to expand opposition unity by forgetting the political developments in Maharashtra.Sonia Gandhi will also attend the meeting.The parties that have been invited for the meeting to be held in Bengaluru are Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK), Kongu Desa Makkal Katchi (KDMK), Viduthalai Chiruthigal Katchi (VCK), Revolutionary Socialist Party (RSP), All India Forward Bloc, Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), Kerala Congress (Joseph) and Kerala Congress (Mani). All of them will attend the meeting for the first time. They were not invited to the meeting held in Patna. The KDMK and MDMK were earlier allies of the BJP during the 2014 Lok Sabha polls. It is believed that Sonia Gandhi will also attend this meeting. He has scheduled a dinner for the leaders of opposition parties on the night of July 17.
