Got this much amount for Gangs of Wasseypur
“By 2010 I moved to Mumbai and by 2012 the film released and became a huge hit in India. They (producers) paid me around Rs 75,000 for this film. I am working with them (Viacom 18) now, they are my producers, but that was my first film and it was not a fancy affair. There were no five-star hotels, vanity van seats or an army of people (behind you). It was a group of people who went to Varanasi for three months, shot and came back. No one had any idea what was happening. When it came out, I said, ‘Wow! I am in the lead role in the film? Is my face on billboards? Should I have got paid more for this? Are films made like this?’
Wasseypur changed life

I was always working. It was not a problem, but I was lost in myself. Like finding my own voice, finding myself who I am, what kind of films I like to do, what I don’t like to do.
never give up
She said, “I was insecure about everything. Maybe insecure about why I am not doing the films that others are doing.I didn’t have anyone to talk to. I had a younger brother in the film industry who was finding his way. There was a shoulder to cry on but there was no one to really help you deal with that situation. But I never thought of giving up. Significantly, Huma Qureshi is currently seen in ZEE5’s ‘Tarla’. In the film, he played the role of famous chef Tarla Dalal.
